Because of its small JAR file size (500Kb) and architecture, this Java-based thin-client can be deployed with a static install or be embedded on a Web server and accessed remotely using Applet or Java WebStart (JNLP) technology. As hardware performance levels continue to advance, so the performance levels between a true Java client and Windows are becoming comparable. And Chimera still enjoys the benefits of its portability, as it can be deployed on any machine supporting the Java2 Runtime Environment. |

As with all Querix advanced client systems, the user interface can be made very intuitive due its virtually unlimited customisation options. You can add further user controls by using JavaBean development.
Importantly, Chimera shares its script file with the Querix Windows advanced thin-client Phoenix. All the settings are the same. This means that just one script needs to be maintained for connection to native Windows and cross-platform applications.
