ActiveX controls

If there just happens to be a client-side component which Querix has not already catered for in its broad selection of client-independent Widgets, your developers can create their own custom controls using ActiveX technology. This removes virtually every limitation on the availability of components, and empowers you to enhance Phoenix to meet your requirements. |
Using ActiveX controls to create new client-side functional objects, or to replace existing objects, Phoenix can insert new functionality into your 4GL applications.
Querix controls share the same names and the same properties; write it once and Phoenix will treat it as an ActiveX control, Chimera as a JavaBean; enhancing simplicity and saving you valuable time when coding. Some demonstration ActiveX controls are included in 'Hydra4GL' v4.3 and Lycia, and, if you need to, you can use any Windows Development System such as Microsoft Visual Basic or C++ to create your own.
