Querix is unable to provide automated conversion for ASMO449. Our advanced Thin GUI Clients (Phoenix & Chimera) expect the source encoding to be in ASMO708 or ISO8859-6.

The conversion from ASMO449 to ASMO708 is not easy, as attention needs to be paid to the screen control characters {} and ~ which are used to delimit Arabic/Western data. As these screen control characters are applied dynamically, it is very difficult to apply automated conversion to the data, as there is no context.

We are able, however, to provide a conversion service which we will apply manually. This would require you to provide us with a copy of the database and data, and also a copy of the current application source files. The timescale and cost of this would depend on the amount of conversion required.
