Candidate:

Established Software Development Company looking to recruit software developers at all levels to join a small but experienced development team at the start of exciting new projects.

With an emphasis on Software Development, Design and Testing, this job would ideally suit a candidate looking to further their existing experience, or gain experience, in the area of Software Development.

 

Job Role:

This position reports to technical lead and will work closely within existing teams in the UK.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing application software both as part of a team and individually.

The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting in software analysis, design and testing.

 

Responsibilities:
  • ·         Developing software according to specifications
  • ·         Enhancing, correcting and maintaining existing software
  • ·         Contributing to systems architectural design, analysis, development and improvement.
  • ·         Porting software to different platforms / operating environments
  • ·         Research and Identify possible solutions to new product developments, or product enhancements.
  • ·         Planning, developing, testing and documenting computer programs.

 

Essential Skills:
  • ·         Understanding of C++.
  • ·         Understanding of Object-Oriented Design concepts, including design patterns.
  • ·         Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • ·         Ability to work unsupervised.
  • ·         Problem solving and problem reduction skills.
  • ·         Ability to communicate clearly.
  • ·         Ability to correspond both in writing ideas and orally.
  • ·         Ability to analyse issues and situations systematically.
  • ·         Ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.

 

Desirable Skills:
  • ·         Technical experience with relational database systems and SQL.
  • ·         Experience with TCP/IP socket programming.
  • ·         Experience with Unix development
  • ·         Experience with Object Oriented modelling using UML.
  • ·         Experience with UML modelling tools.

  • Java programmers juniours. The experience in one or more of the following fields will be an advantage: 
    - Java EE, Hibernate, Velocity, Struts 2, Liferay Portal 
    - Java SE, Swing 
    - Eclipse RPC 

 

  • C++ programmers.
    • The following skills are a must: 
      - C++, STL, boost (3+ years of experience)
      - OOP, design patterns
      - Windows, Linux proficiency
      - At least intermediate English level
    • These skills will be an advantage
      - Knowledge of the compiler construction principles (flex/bison)
      - SQL
      - HP-UX, AIX, OSX proficiency
  • QA\QC Engineers for developing and managing product testing. An analytical mind and the desire to apply it, even if you don't have much of the experience is welcomed. 
    The following experience and qualifications are required:
    - Knowledge of testing methodologies (e.g. boundary analysis, unit testing, etc) is a must 
    - Intermediate level of written and spoken English is a must 
    - Programming experience in any programming language will be a great advantage 
    - Knowledge of automated testing tools (TestComplete for example) is an advantage 
    - Knowledge of Linux will be an advantage 
    - Knowledge of SQL will be an advantage 
    - Knowledge of Javascript will be an advantage 
    The main responsibilities: 
    - To be able to plan and implement a broad series of test procedures and a comprehensive library of testcases. 
    - To manage existing GUI testing procedures based upon the TestComplete testing framework. 

 

  • System Administrator with the experience of working as a System Administrator for 2 years and more is required.
    The following experience and qualifications are required: 
    - Experience in administrating the following: Windows, *nux, Xen, OpenVZ, OpenLDAP, DNS, NFS 
    - Profound knowledge of bash scripting 
    - Good knowledge of English will be a great advantage 
    - Experience in administrating the following will be an advantage: Apache, SharePoint, TFS, qmail, QoS, rsync
